Where is Metropolitan College located?
Metropolitan College offers Adult Degree Programs as part of Johnson C. Smith University. The university is located in center city Charlotte, North Carolina, with easy access off of I-85 and I-77. Driving distance is approximately 3 minutes from uptown Charlotte and within 20- 30 minutes of a variety of locations such as Fort Mill, Rock Hill, Monroe, Concord, Kannapolis, Gastonia, and Kings Mountain. The campus address is 100 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28216.
When are classes offered?
A variety of options are offered for class times and schedules. Metropolitan College offers an accelerated schedule for majors in Criminology, Social Work, Business Administration-Accounting, and Business Administration-Management. These accelerated schedules are achieved through seven week terms with classes offered two nights a week. Other classes are offered online, or on campus during daytime hours.
How much is tuition?
Tuition is determined by your status as a full time or part time student, how many hours you take, what type of class is offered. Special fees are sometimes required to pay for labs and other special resources. To determine your tuition rate, please contact our Business Office at 704-378-1229.

When do terms begin?
Terms vary for the Accelerated Degree Program and the Regular Degree Program. Some courses are not taught each term. Starting dates may differ according to your transfer hours, if applicable. Generally, seven week terms begin in January, March, April, June, August, and October.
When are applications reviewed?
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Your start date will be determined by the Dean of Metropolitan College based on your Degree Program and transfer hours where applicable.
Can I pay for my application fee and tuition with a credit card?
Online applicants may use their credit card or debit card. Other payments are accepted by cash, money order or certified check. Application fees are non-refundable.
